Sarawak Liberica Refinement Project Part 5

Earthlings Coffee collaborated with the Sarawak Department of Agriculture to publish the "Liberica Defect Bean Identification Poster" and the "Processing Methods Booklet," making it easier for Liberica growers to enhance quality management.

For the second time, we have been invited, along with the Sarawak Department of Agriculture, to the International Coffee Convention (ICC) 2024 in Mannheim, Germany, to share the progress of the Liberica Refinement Project with coffee researchers from around the world.

We believe coffee is not just an economic crop; it is also a cultural one. Therefore, we incorporate cultural elements from various local indigenous villages into our packaging, allowing their hard work to honour their communities.

In November 2024, we, along with Liberica growers from our partner villages, will participate in the “Coffee and Climate Change in Southeast Asia Workshop" and present a report. We will discuss with coffee professionals from Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Timor-Leste, and other regions how to address the challenges posed by extreme climate conditions.

Under the support scheme of FAMA, Liberica Cultivation and Refinement Training was provided to Liberica growers in Kpg Tijirak and Kpg Git by the Earthlings and DOA team in November 2024.
